Experimental typeface for my graduation thesis made with the intent to use an existing technology (font) in a creative way to make a easy-to-produce and taylorable icon system where every word generate a new symbol, 2004.

The concept was that like a symbol is made of different parts, a word it’s made of letters, so I wanted create a typeface where every letter was one part of a symbol. I resolved the necessity to create a font where every letter could be layered over the others in a really simple way: letters with kerning of 0pt.

PS: Aierbazzi (which means weeds) is my third font born from the concept I developed for my thesis and I had the idea very quickly, reflecting on the phrase “say it with flowers”: aierbazzi translate a word into a bouquet of flowers, effectively. My first font was Bagarozz.
